Ha, I'm exactly like you with dates, if we're spending a couple hours snuggled up on the couch watching something we both like then I'll call that a win. Good for you guys for getting out there, and oh! That restaurant looks so cute! Glad you guys had a good night out :)

I went on a Trader Joe's date Friday night!
  • nicoleantoinette · 5 months ago
Sigh. This is so cute. You should take ME on a date, haha!
  • Elizabeth · 5 months ago
That's pretty much a date night for us too, except substitute Whole Foods, because we are unlucky enough to not have Trader Joe's.

We slip out every now and then to go to new places, but 7 times out of 10, we end up going to our favorite Tex-Mex joint!

We go on Target dates all the time. They are generally followed up with TV on DVD and pizza. You are not alone!

We're not even married, and our dates are equally boring :)

Oh, and we're super aggressive, competitive Scrabble players. Actually, any game players. My parents think we hate one another when we play games :) We just like winning!

Trader Joes and DVD night sounds like a perfect date! This is such a cute post, love all the pictures.

If Mister took me to a Trader Joes I think I would be so excited about it from reading about it on your and Steph Corwin's blogs all the time that it wouldn't be a date, it would be an event I would probably have to scrapbook afterward!

That being said, this sounds perfect. Mister and I have fallen in love with an amazing semi-quick service place 10 mins from our house and have started biking to it on the weekends. Followed by some furious games of Yahtzee, I'm pretty much in heaven.

Looks like a fabulous little restaurant! Sounds like a great time.

Sounds like a nice cozy time! I don't think you're the only one... we have our days like that too. This weekend was one of them. =)

My husband and I try to go out sometimes, but lately, we've been staying in. It's so much cozier, and we don't have to spend a long time driving to wherever we want to go.

(We express old married couple symptoms, too.)

That purple restaurant is SO cute!! And also, when Dave and I play scrabble, we are intense! And I'm usually a sore loser because he has a better vocab than me. :)

I am afraid to say that we are well beyond your two years of marriage (we have three under our belt) and we are just too far gone into the old married couple snydrome to get out. I am glad you did while you are still young!

glad you had a good time. looks good.

That looks so fun! I'm glad you guys had a good time. :) Also, I'm making it a point to stock up on good board games in the next few months. I will become the Scrabble Queen!

This looks like an excellent date! Torsten and I are planning something similar for next weekend.

I'm pretty sure I've said this about 23981 million times, but you and Mike are the CUTEST. I love it.
And I also love that purple porch. Precious.

You could have described us with that first sentence. Except that T would complain if I made him watch Ugly Betty. But something else for sure. But I love how special it feels going out for dinner every now and again. And those photos are lovely.

That restaurant looked like a lot of fun. Tasty fun.

My family gets really ugly when we play Scrabble, too. I hate losing to my business-major sister.

I wasn't hungry before I read this post. After seeing that food, I am STARVING. Major yum!

We do dates like y'all, too, and we aren't even married. While it's nice to spend time at home in yoga pants and pajamas, it's also nice to go out every once in a while!

    That dinner looks AMAZING!
  • eileen · 5 months ago
Everything about all of this looks amazing. I like your food, your super beautiful home (which you totally deserve), and your cool husband. I mostly like Mike.

I wish we lived in the same city. I like you. The end!

Matt and I play Scrabble on Facebook. It's not as cute as a real board, but it's still fun. Ehhhh.. you guys win.
